About Granite Security
It is our core of people who have built this company from the inside out and have made it possible for Granite Security to soon celebrate its 14th anniversary.
It has been somewhat like “a good sitcom” when all of the characters make it work. At the heart of this team is Susan Sumners. She began her career in the security industry with Kristynik Security in 1994. After Paul Kristynik sold his company in 1996 to an out of state alarm company, Susan Sumners and Diane Anderson began to put together a plan to form their own local security company.
They opened their doors for business as Granite Security Systems in March of 1997. Because of their years of association with over 100 custom home builders with Kristynik Security, those loyal builders followed along and continued their low voltage business with the newly formed company.
In 2002 Diane Anderson retired from Granite Security. Susan and long-time associate, John Morrow, bought Diane’s interest in the company and Susan continued as she had, being the integral player in the day to day operations.
